After the successful “Sneaker Eulogy” exhibition together with Eric NG, the solebox Vienna store was redecorated to showcase the works of GLOD. The vernissage on August 9 from 7-10 PM kicked things off, with visitors flocking to the store modelled after a gallery to take in the Polish artist’s works and grab one of the collaborative t-shirts while Tori played the soundtrack for the evening. Cold drinks were provided by Campari, Havana Club, Red Bull & Vöslauer.

Coming from a background as graphic designer and creative director, Martin Glod blends elements of street art and graffiti with traditional painting techniques, using materials and mediums of all kinds. A common theme in his work are popcultural references, often in the shape of iconic figures or symbols making an appearance on the canvas.

For “The Game Of Being”, GLOD shows works that take his practice of blending materials even further, incorporating different textiles and fabrics to create multi-layered and dynamic pieces. While this will be his last exhibition as a Vienna-based artist, he looks at it less like an ending and more like a new beginning: "It's time to focus on new markets and horizons, as I have accomplished and experienced a lot in Austria and Europe."
